Who We Are.. Kind of
::Naoko:: (Ashley)
At the moment, I'm doing all the work around here. I drew the first comic and I made the
T-shirt that helped spark the idea for this site. My mom's the one who showed it to Vic, so I
guess I can't take all the credit ;)

I am the Bewildered Con Mom!!! My first con was in June of 2007 and boy, did I need some

How We Got Started

So how did this thing get started? Well, it probably began with Naoko becoming a fan of a guy
named Vic Mignogna. While looking up anything and everything about him, we stumbled across
the Real Fans of Genius videos made by Vic and fellow voice actor Steve Blum. Mom found
Bewildered Con Mother to be especially funny, seeing as that would be her at A-kon 18. Mom
thought it would also be funny to make T-shirts for her and the other mom who drove us to and
around A-kon, so Naoko made a silly picture and ironed it to a big red shirt. Once at A-kon, Mom
stood in line for an hour with hyper ventilating fan girls (and fan boy) to meet Vic and get his
autograph for her darling daughter. It was only when she was almost to Vic that Mom realised
that she hadn't brought anything for Vic to sign, so he signed the sleeve of the Bewildered Con
Mom shirt. After checking with Vic, we got the green light to start a web comic based on his and
Steve Blum's song. And the rest, as they say, is history ;)
